With Blue Velvet, I wanted to create attraction through contrast — cool aromatic spices against dark woods, radiant saffron against the depth of oud. Cardamom and cinnamon bring movement and energy, while saffron and dark rose give the fragrance its velvety sensuality. Then oud and patchouli take over, leaving something darker, deeper and more instinctive on the skin. Blue Velvet is about a quiet kind of magnetism. It doesn’t need to demand attention. It simply stays in your memory.”
